In 2020 the owner of Neff Brothers, Jeffrey Neff, delivered a mixed load of fill dirt and topsoil materials to my home property. During the delivery the driver damaged my neighbor’s property and private asphalt driveway. The driver declined to pay for or fix the damage that he caused. The quote we obtained by a separate contractor to make the repairs was over $2,500. In addition to the damage that they caused, the material had a significant amount of manufactured product (fiberglass reinforced cement, concrete, asphalt, kitchen countertop/manufactured materials, plastic, metal, brick, etc.)I presented the damaged property and deleterious materials issues to Neff Brothers in a professional and respectful manner in person, and wanted them to remove what they delivered from my property even if I had to pay them again. I felt threatened by their response (yelling and screaming) and immediately stood up to leave their office. I have a disability and require ear plugs for loud sound, so had to immediately attempt to get to my car (away from their yelling). My ears were ringing by the time I made it outside. Not only did they refuse to help, but they started screaming at me and literally chased me off their property as I was attempting to leave. As I was almost to my car, Mr. Neff physically assaulted me, and his son called me names and continued to harass me. I ended up having to call the police and was later treated by Emergency Medical staff. I will never return to Neff Brothers and will forever remember the physical assault and harassment, the lack of responsiveness, the lack of care, lack of professionalism and poor customer service. The facts are supported by video footage provided to the police and attorneys. In retrospect, given the unresponsive behavior of Neff Brothers, I should have contacted a reputable company to remove the bad material from the site and filed a property claim with the insurance company and had them resolve the damage caused by the Neff Brothers. Instead, I relied on the trust and good faith of a company that claims to be family oriented and family owned. I wish them no harm.
